This Mother's Day, in memory of my Mum, who went Home to be with the Lord last July, I baked a chocolate dessert using her recipe. Insodoing, I was reminded of a sermon illustration I have used many times over my 20+ years of preaching. Even for those who've heard the illustration before, I pray that this will serve to encourage and bless you. God can indeed take our bitter experiences and bring something sweet from them.
