If It Doesn't Build Up, then Shut Up! (Ephesians 4:25-32)

I was a chubby boy at primary school. As a child I was taught, when insulted, or called names, to respond with the following saying: “Sticks and bones will break my bones, but names/words will never hurt me….” Guess what, whoever gave me that advice, was wrong. Because those words did hurt. Words are powerful. They can build up or they can break down. In this sermon, we consider how we are connected through our words and how vital it is that we speak words that build up instead of words that break down. God bless you as you listen.
