“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:4)
Jeremiah was called to speak God’s word to his world. A world that needed to be called from sin to repentance; away from idols to the living God; a world that seemed to be falling apart at the seams, and needed a word of hope!
Here we are, Friends – almost 3000 years removed from Jeremiah’s world – and you know what? The needs may have different faces, but they remain the same.
A world that chases after idols – needs to be called to repentance; to turn to the living God! A world that is filled with hopelessness and hurt needs to hear of the hope and healing that only Jesus Christ can give. Different time; different place; but the needs all around us remain.
As you respond to these needs, speaking forth and living out the Word that God has placed within your hearts, what are some of the "must-haves" you need in your toolbox to ensure you are equipped for the task.
